@jthrash Artists are usually doing art voluntarily and enjoy doing it, why wouldn't we have motivation?
@EinMeister Maybe there are different levels of motivation for different people. I’m personally a bit burned out after the previous project I worked on and can only really handle at most two projects (one big, one tiny) at once. I will say I had MUCH more motivation in high school, maybe it’s just youthful exuberance, too?

@jthrash Maybe age does matter, idk, I'm just 18 but I can feel being less energic than when I was a kid.
@EinMeister I assure you that you are currently at the prime of your artistic life right now. Enjoy it while you still can. Unfortunately part of my problem has to do with...certain local political controversies that directly concern me and my family and many of my toxic neighbors won't allow me to ignore.
HOPEFULLY in October or so I can focus solely on art and getting a job in art and not feel solely responsible for the fate of the entire country (or better yet move to an area where people over the age of 25 are less depressed and can talk about ANYTHING more pleasant than divisive hot-button issues), but for now my attention is unfortunately split between art and more urgent matters.
